- The Senate’s latest version of the Clarity Act includes software developer protections and a revised ethics provision with a sunset date in 2029, clearing what are expected to be the final hurdles before a Senate vote. The bill would prohibit public officials from issuing or sponsoring digital assets, though they would still be permitted to invest in cryptocurrencies.
